Homemade Pizza (kindof)
Saturday, September 22, 2007 3:42 PM
Friday at work a coworker asked where she can buy some dough to make pizza, and I said they have Boboli at the store. Little did I know, you can buy actual pizza dough at some pizza places. I thought that was amazing, so after lunch we drove by Filipi's pizza off of Jefferson and she bought us some dough. This morning I went to the store and bought some ingredients and got to work.
First I sprinkled some flour on the cutting board.

Then I took the dough from Filipi's and flattened it with my hands.

I even through it up into the air a few time, like a pro. Now its all flattened and ready for toppings.

While I was putting toppings on the pizza, I preheated my pizza stone in the oven for 20 minutes at 475 degrees.

Next I spread pasta sauce, mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, mushrooms, and artichoke hearts on top. Then I brushed some olive oil onto the crust.

Put it in the oven for 20 minutes at 475 degrees.

When the cheese started turning golden brown I took it out, and let it cool for 10 minutes on the cutting board.

Once it cooled a little, I put some yummy tabasco sauce on it.

It was delicious. I started the project never making a pizza from scratch before. I thought for sure it wouldn't come out good, I thought I'd be eating it with a fork and knife. But surprisingly the pizza turned out great, didn't fall apart. The best part was the crust, I like pizza crust, and this was some of the best I've tasted.

The Lake Elsinore Storm is dreaming big with this green thing, including adding solar panels on the stadium and hopefully becoming the first LEED Certified sports facility in the country.
